Symbolism & Heritage

My work is deeply connected to my Persian heritage. I have always been drawn to symbols that carry stories of identity, wisdom, protection and the search for meaning.

In these works, I explore symbols from Persian culture and give them my own visual language, using colour, texture and gold leaf to create a connection between the past and the present.

Farvahar

Good Thoughts · Good Words · Good Deeds

For me, the Farvahar is a powerful symbol of my Persian heritage and Zoroastrian tradition. At its heart are three guiding principles: good thoughts, good words and good deeds.

Pendār Nik, Goftār Nik, Raftār Nik.

These simple ideas have always felt meaningful to me: what we think, what we say and how we behave shape who we are and how we connect with the world around us.

Mehr & Mah (Sun and Moon)

Light · Darkness · Hope

Mehr & Mah represents the closeness of light and darkness — day and night, always following one another.

In Persian, we have a saying: «پایان شب سیه سپید است»after the dark night comes the light.

For me, it is a reminder not to lose hope. Nature shows us this every day: night becomes morning, darkness gives way to light, and every ending carries the possibility of a new beginning.

Sarv (Cypress)

Resilience · Strength · Growth

For me, the Sarv, the cypress tree, is a symbol of resilience.

When the wind comes, the tree bends, but it does not break. When the storm passes, it rises again. Over time, it continues to grow — stronger and taller.

I see something very human in that. Life can push us, bend us and challenge us, but we can rise again and continue growing.

Nilofar (Lotus)

Life · Growth · Legacy

For me, the Nilofar, the lotus, is a symbol of life and growth.

I believe that being a parent is not only about giving birth to a new generation. It is also about helping that generation become stronger, wiser and a better version of ourselves.

We pass something on to our children — not only life, but also our experiences, our values and our hopes for the future.

For me, the Nilofar represents that journey: life growing into something new, stronger and more beautiful.
